FAQ

Where are you located?

I offer teletherapy sessions and am licensed in Florida, New Jersey, and New York, and pending Illinois.

I also offer equine-assisted psychotherapy in Loxahatchee, Florida.

My hours are Monday – Wednesday from 8 am – 6 pm.

Can you resolve my trauma?
We can work together to prevent your trauma from negatively affecting your life, but you must be willing to do the work.
Do you support medication or holistic measures?
I engage in both. Some people really benefit from medication, whereas others do not. Some people like the holistic aspect of things.
Do you offer two-hour sessions?
When it comes to complex trauma or couples, I highly recommend it. There is a lot of ground to cover. One hour barely touches the surface.
Do you require a weekly or biweekly appointment?
This depends on your level of commitment to therapy. If you are ready to get started, let’s make every minute count to accomplish your therapy goals.
Why equine-assisted psychotherapy?
It’s a different approach that works with individuals when traditional therapy has not been successful. Equine-assisted therapy can also be used as an auxiliary service.
Who do you work with?
I work with adults, adolescents, and couples.
What approaches do you use?
I use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), and Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy.
How long does it take to resolve trauma?
This varies from client to client. The average time is usually 8-12 EMDR sessions. With equine-assisted psychotherapy, it may take 1-3 sessions.
Do I get to ride the horse for equine therapy?
No, this is groundwork to connect to the horse. You will do activities such as grooming, leading, and harnessing the horse. There are many activities you will do depending on your current struggle.
Do you like archery or ATVs?
How about ATV on the beach and archery on a horse?
